First and foremost, John hagee might have sinned, of which he admitted to, but the point is he repented. And moreover, for as long as the sin was that of adultery, yes his wife had the right to divorce him because that is that biblical thing to do.
And because that happened, she and he also had the right to remarry.
But what blows my mind is why you would bring this up when the whole thing happened many many many years back. What is your motive sir. Because in God's eyes, the matter was settled a long time ago.
My advice to you is to stop digging up dirt which has been buried under the blood and report on current issues which will help people unstead of issues which nobody wants to hear.
Regardless of what you say or think, John hagee is a man of God who is doing a great work for the kingdom.
You repent of remarriage adultery just as you would extra marital adultery by forsaking it.
John Hagee's first wife still lives. To marry while your first spouse lives is adultery according to Christ.

Marriage is meant to be for life. No doubt. Marriage is a holy union, and God does not condone divorce. However, it is allowed under the circumstances of Infidelity and abuse. If someone has already committed adultery, and his wife divorces him, which she has every right to do, and he marries the woman he committed adultery with, he had already committed adultery. So adultery already stands. And the first wife is allowed to remarry.
I am recently divorced from my husband who committed adultery, and I stayed and forgave, and he committed adultery again, and I found out I was his fourth wife, which I did not know. Although I loved my husband and wanted to be with him for my life time, God freed me from that marriage. I, personally, do not feel comfortable remarrying, although I have the right to do so. But we must remember, there is forgiveness. Knowing John Hagee's teachings, I would think he has asked for forgiveness, and I am sure he has regretted his past behavior. The thing about forgiveness, is not that it wipes away the past, it only wipes away the sin.
